One thing that isn’t spoken about enough is women and their finances. How do we manage it? How do we tailor it to our lifestyle? How do we look after our future? How do we invest it for the better? Bola Sol is a woman on mission and her mission is refining currency for the new age of women. With a small team of young professional’s on board, she is bridging the gap and educating women on how to manage money successfully. Her business, Refined Currency is shaping the new age of financial understanding.
Tell me about yourself?
Bola Sol: My name is Bola Sol and I am a Finance Guru. My full first name means ‘God brings Wealth‘, so I feel this is my God given purpose.
Such a perfect suiting. What is Rich Girl Chronicles for those who don’t know?
BS: It’s a money accountability group where some amazing women and myself get together once a week on WhatsApp to discuss money. I’m the founder of RGC (Rich Girl Chronicles) and a RGC Guru, so I lead the discussions and give vital information on how to get on top of your finances.
Amazing! So how does it work and how can GRACE readers sign up/be a part of it?
BS: All details are always showcased on my social media for the 1st of every month at 12pm (@Bola_Sol) and the link is advertised through there.
What is the objective of Rich Girl Chronicles?
BS: Simply to educate women everywhere on how to be the Alpha of their finances.
I find that to be so important today. You recently held a master class, how did you find it?
BS: Two words, Purpose Driven.
And with your journey, have you found it to be rewarding?
BS: 110%.
How has your various social media channels helped you?
BS: It has given a little old introvert like me a platform to use my voice to the best of my ability.
That’s great to hear. So what have you found to be the key components of being financially stable?
BS: It all starts with your mentality towards money, for RGC we look and delve into the questions, why do you spend? Do you have money anxiety? What causes it? From this point we then explore budgeting, saving, debt and credit.
It sounds like an amazing supportive community, taking that community to a higher place. How would you say your relationship with God has helped your process?
BS: It has helped by giving me the faith to be powerful in my own right without fear. My faith in God means my imposter syndrome declines.
That’s beautiful. Do you have a scripture that you often turn to in hours of need?
BS: Yes,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Amen. How would you say God stands for you when thinking of your brand and business?
BS: I wouldn’t say He stands in for me, He is in me – I pray, a lot.
With that faith, where do you envision your brand heading in the future?
BS: It’s not a vision anymore, more a reality. I am a success today and success tomorrow but the key is gratitude all throughout.
Can you give us any ideas for your plans for 2019?
BS: Surprises are even better.
