Don’t overthink it! TrUSt GoD :/ But when the trials and challenges of life make us feel as if we are sinking in the vast ocean of uncertainty, how do we do it? In these moments, the knowledge that we do not have a detailed and sure insight into the future becomes prevalent in our minds. Often, the devil uses these seasons of life to prey on Christians, shooting arrows of doubts and causing mental turmoil through our emotions.
What do we do when the fear of the future overwhelms us? What is our response when uncertainty creeps in and we struggle to find light in a dark storm?
As believers we are called to trust in God even in the most challenging seasons of our lives.
Here are 5 bible verses to help you stand your ground and grow your trust in God.
1.) Trusting God for Comfort
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43: 2(NLT)
This verse is a sweet reminder that regardless of how deep the waters of doubt are, how difficult the problems get, and how hot the fire of oppression is, God is still with you. Nothing scares Him and nothing puts Him off.

2.) Trusting God for Strength
Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. Isaiah 26:4 (NLT)
This verse shows us that while there are many wavering foundations, God is the strong foundation on which we can safely stand.
According to the Oxford Dictionary of English, a rock can be used to define someone who is “extremely strong, reliable,” while eternal refers to something that is ‘lasting or existing forever”.
Hence, we can rest in the knowledge that God will always be our extremely strong and reliable rock who we can hold on to during a raging storm.

3.) He is a Peace Giver
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26: 3 (NLT)
Jesus is the Prince of peace. When the enemy attacks you, and attempts to play mind games through your thoughts, be intentional about directing your thoughts towards Jesus – the good things He has done for you in the past, His promises of unfailing love and sound mind… As you direct your thoughts towards Him more and more, He will fill you with His peace.

4.) Trusting God for Safety
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV)
Trusting in God means learning to speak, sing, shout and proclaim the name of Jesus! The storm obeys Him, and the devil shudders at His name. Speak Jesus over every doubt and fear lurking within you.

5.) God will Always be There
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)
Loneliness is an emotion that crawls in when we least want it. And it brings discouragement, fear of the future, and weakness with it.
Let this passage be a fervent reminder that God is always with you, and in those moments when you feel lonely, fearful and mentally weak, declare this verse over yourself. He is holding you up with his victorious right hand, you can wholeheartedly trust Him.
